En cada martes de plenaria, El Salvador vive otro episodio de su nueva historia en la que el gobierno verdaderamente trabajo por el pueblo y el día de ayer no fue la excepción, pues se aprobó la Ley Transitoria para la Estabilización de Precios del Gas Licuado de Petróleo, una iniciativa propuesta por el Presidente Nayib Bukele.
Esta ley creará un mecanismo temporal con el que el Ejecutivo protegerá la economía de las familias salvadoreñas ante los factores externos que generan aumento en los precios de este producto. Con esta iniciativa, el gobierno de El Salvador demuestra, con acciones, su apoyo a las familias salvadoreñas, a las micro y pequeñas empresas.
«Hemos venido monitoreando las fluctuaciones en los precios del gas y al ver con preocupación estos incrementos, que se dan por factores exógenos, buscamos proteger la economía familiar y a las micro y pequeñas empresas», afirma la ministra de Economía, María Luisa Hayem. «Las familias más vulnerables ya cuentan con un subsidio por lo que este será un subsidio adicional que también les beneficiará», agregó.
Se estima que esta iniciativa tenga un impacto positivo en más de un millón de hogares salvadoreños, aliviando el bolsillo de muchísimas familias luego de los efectos que la pandemia del COVID-19 ha provocado a nivel mundial.
