Luego de que la pandemia del Covid-19 obligara el retraso de la inauguración de los juegos olímpicos Tokio 2020, este día finalmente los atletas ondearon con orgullo la bandera de El Salvador. La delegación salvadoreña marchó con sus elegantes uniformes, con un elemento muy distintivo de nuestro país: el café.

El uniforme que vistieron los cinco atletas que representarán a nuestro país fue elegido por el Comité Olímpico de El Salvador, a través de un jurado. El motivo del decorado de los blazers, pantalones y faldas es el café; este representa su historia y tradición en el territorio salvadoreño.
